Registration Fee : It is one time and non-refundable fee. However, it is refundable on successful completion of the program.
Hostel Fees :  Rs. 39000/- Per Semester (Non A.C. Room) + Rs. 6500/- Caution Deposit (including food and utilities)
Rs. 50000/- Per Semester (A.C. Room) + Rs. 6500/- Caution Deposit (including food and utilities)
Guest House : US$ 960 per Semester (AC self contained room) + US$ 160 Caution Deposit (including food and utilities)

Note : * Subject to the approval of fees by FRC – Technical for the year 2020-21

** M.TECH. program fee is tentative and the fee will be fixed by Fee Regulatory Committee (Technical), Gujarat State

SCHOLARSHIP FACILITY

  1.  Students from SEBC, SC, ST and Freeship Card Holder category can avail the scholarship facility provided by the State Government
    under Digital Gujarat Portal. Institute of Advanced Research helps the students to apply in respective category under Digital
    Gujarat Scholarship schemes.
  2.  Students from Minority Category can avail the facility of scholarship provided by the minority commission of Govt. of India.
    Institute of Advanced Research will publish the Circular received from the Central / State Government and helps the students
    to apply in National Portal Scholarship scheme from time to time.
  3. All the students who have got 80% or more in their 12 Standard examinations can apply FOR Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, i.e., MYSY and can get the scholarship given by the Gujarat State Government.

Financial Assistance Policy

  1. Objective

To support students who may face financial difficulty from time to time. It is also the intention of the University to enable students to achieve their academic goals and support them to excel in their career. It is applicable to the students of Financially Weaker Section of the Society within the available resources of the university.

  1. Amount and Number Beneficiaries

Number of students supported at any given time will not be more than 20 and the fund available will be to time for distribution amongst the recipients will be limited to Rs. 3,00,000.00 (Rupees Three Lakhs). It is the intention of the financial support is that the students who qualify for support will receive funding at the time of their need, but will repay the money as soon as they are able to do so. This is to ensure that more students who are in financial distress can be supported. Normally, financial assistance, which is intended to help students in most financial need, is not renewed.

  1. Eligibility Criteria

Recipients of the financial assistance:

  • Must be enrolled as full-time student (except B.Tech., M.Tech, MBA or PhD – these programs have other sources of support although committee may consider case to case).

  • Must have annual family income less than Rs. 2,00,000.00 IRs 2 Lacs).

  • Should have evidence of good moral character.

  • Must meet the requirements of minimum attendance which is 70%.

  • Must pass examination in each semester with minimum 6.5 SGPA without any backlog subjects.

  1. How to Apply

  • The University will publish a notice for Fresh/Renewal Financial Assistance Scheme.

  • Eligible student will formally submit an application form.

  • Annual Income Certificate must be provided with the application.

  • Previous semester mark-sheets in case of renewal.

  • Last six months bank statement.

  • Any other evidence required by the university must be provided.

  1. Procedure 

  • An institutional review committee will evaluate the received applications.

  • The committee may invite students and/or parents for a discussion/interview. Applications are reviewed annually.

  • Normally, the maximum duration for which financial assistance is one year, but may be extended in exceptional cases.

  • The decision of the committee will be final.

Note: Recipients of the financial assistance are expected to repay the amount (after the completion of studied or whenever they are in position to do so), so that the university is able to extend the financial assistance to more and more students in need.

Merit Scholarships Scheme

  1. Introduction

Institute of Advanced Research provides Merit Scholarships to the students who are pursuing undergraduate program and postgraduate proram. The purpose of Merit Scholarships Scheme is to enable young and talented students to excel at the university as they pursue higher education and to identify the potential candidates for postgraduate education and research.

  1. Number of Scholarships

Category – I: 10 scholarships in total for new students entering the first year at undergraduate program and postgraduate program.

Category – II: 10 scholarships f or students who excel academically at the University and/or in extra- and co-curricular activities.

  1. Eligibility Criteria

Eligible students:

  • Must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student (except B.Tech., M.Tech, MBA or PhD – these programs have other sources of support although committee may consider case to case).

  • Must have scored more than 85% (in 10+2 examination for category – I scholarships and in any year of his/her undergraduate at IAR for category – II scholarships).

  • For Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship Scheme, must have scored more than 80% at graduation level

  • Should have evidence of good moral character.

  • Must meet the requirements of minimum attendance which is 70%.

  • For renewal cases, must pass examination in each semester with minimum 8.5 SGPA without any backlog subjects in case of UG Merit Scholarship and must pass examination in each semester with minimum 8.0 SGPA without any backlog subjects in case of PG Merit Scholarship.

  1. How to Apply

  • The University will publish a notice for Fresh/Renewal Merit Scholarship Scheme.

  • Eligible student will formally submit an application form.

  • Appropriate mark-sheet(s) along with birth certificate must be provided with the application.

  • Previous semester mark-sheets in case of renewal.

  • Any other evidence required by the university must be provided, for example in support of extra-curricular and co-curricular excellence.

  1. Procedure

  • An institutional review committee will be set up to evaluate the applications received before the deadline specified.

  • The scholarships cover 25% – 100% of semester fee (excluding the residential fee) depending on the order of merit of the applicants.

  • Scholarships are paid in arrears on successful completion of studies in any given year.

  • The committee may invite students and/or parents for a discussion/ interview.

  • Scholarships to individuals are reviewed annually.

  • Any individual may hold only one scholarship at any given time.

  • The maximum duration of any scholarship is three years.

  • The decision of the committee will be final.
